It has been a fruitful and entertaining three days for Kasalan at Kotilyon sa Davao 2018 held last July 27 to July 29 at Ayala Abreeza Mall. The wedding and debut fair roadshow showcases the best and most promising suppliers and venues in Davao.
Kasalan at Kotilyon started out as Kasalang Filipino, which has been the longest-running wedding fair roadshow in the Philippines as it aims to showcase the best and most promising wedding suppliers and venues of the country’s different regions. But this year, the organizers have committed to making this annual showcase even grander by accommodating soon-to-marry couples, only want the best and most unforgettable celebration for that milestone moment.

Theme Wedding and Events, Bali-Bali Beach Resort, Eight Productions, Jacs Divine Events, and Enderun.
The three-day event also highlighted MAC Make-up demo, a spectacular bridal fashion show by participating gown designers. Tons of prizes were raffled off to exhibitors and registered clients. The Best Booth was awarded t Pearl Farm Resort and J & J Flower Accessories, both suppliers took home P10,000 pesos worth of Gift Certificate from Robinsons while Love and Styles took home P, for 5,000 pesos worth of Gift Certificate from Robinsons, as the supplier with the most number of consultations and booked events.
Present during the Grand Opening and Toasting Ceremony were Abreeza Mall Marketing Head Ms. Ruby Ochoa, Kasal.com head, Mathel Ong and Davao Event Suppliers President, Ms. Elinor Marcelino.

The New City Commercial Corp. (NCCC) Mall Buhangin, opened with a big bang on Sunday, July 22, 2018, the newest Mall tagged as “NCCC 3.0” promises to give Dabawenyos an upgraded mall experience with its fascinating architectural designs.

OA Tour In Davao
The Philippine’s Master Songwriter Ogie Alcasid marks his 30th year in show business with a nationwide concert, with Davao as his first stop. The OA concert was held at Flying V RMC Gym last July 21, 2018, despite the downpour that clouded Saturday night, fans come in hordes and Ogie Alcasid did not disappoint.
The concert was filled with people of all ages come together for a great night.
“Kahit umuulan nagpunta po kayo. Kung kailangan ko kayong halikan lahat, hahalikan ko kayo. Kahit lalaki hahalikan ko”, says Ogie as the crowd giggled with his funny antics.
After seeing him at his press conference held at Rophe’s Chicken in Buhangin, most of the invited guests agree that indeed Ogie is truly a good-natured person. He patiently signed every memorabilia, interact and posed for pictures with fans and eagerly answers every question.
His OA concert also featured her beautiful and talented daughter Leila Alcasid who sang “Pangako”with her Dad and showcased her first single titled “Completely in Love” under Star Music. Leila is a bit shy yet she exudes too much star power.
Mr. Songwriter sang his certified hits that made the audience crave for more, Peksman, Mahal Kita Walang Iba, Kung Mawawala Ka, Sa Kanya, Nandito Ako, Dahil Mahal Kita, Kailangan Kita, Kailangan Koy’ Ikaw among others.
Classical Sweetheart Lara Maigue and Contemporary Music Master Davey Langit are the concert’s performers who also showed Davaenos their musical prowess.
Ogie reeled off one of his best impersonations onstage like the character “Bansot Me”, his jokes are extremely funny without any vulgarity.
He is indeed a consummate performer, who proved his mettle for the last 30 years and counting. Ogie Alcasid is excited about his upcoming 30th Anniversary concert on Aug 24 at the Big Dome.
One of the most exalting moments in the concert was Ogie’s rendition of his composition “ The Lord is My Savior”, a song he wrote for his wife Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, after going through rough moments when she lost her Daddy Gerry a few years back. The crowd shouted “AMEN” and feel an extraordinary spiritual vibe, a soft melody with incredible vocals that will put one straight in your feels.
Red Velvet Events and Promotions Divalicious Yuki Almazan said the concert will not only give the much entertainment they need but to raise fund as well. The concert proceeds will be used to build school buildings in Davao Oriental, channeled through the Davao Beehive Foundation and the Lighthouse Foundation..
NCCC Supermarket Kicks Off #Roadto40 Campaign
As NCCC Supermarket celebrates its 40th year as a leading retail company in Mindanao, a lot of surprises are in store for loyal shoppers and patrons.

KADAYAWAN FESTIVAL 2018 COMES EARLY
Mark Your Calendars! The 33rd Kadayawan Festival will be BIGGER this year and festivities all over the city comes early on August 10 to August 19, 2018.

It also serves as a reminder for us, to always go back to our roots and to our history. The ever- gracious Mayor attended the Kadayawan Media Launch at Marco Polo Hotel. Together with Inday Sara is Vice-Mayor Bernie Al-ag, Councilor Al Ryan Alejandre, City Administrator Zuleika T. Lopez, City Tourism Officer GeneRose Tecson, DCCCII Pres. Capt Ronald Go, and Event Festival Director Mr. Gatchi Gatchalian Jr. Also present during the gathering are the 11 Deputy Mayors of the different tribes in Davao.
Pag Abli sa Kadayawan or the Grand Opening of the Festivities will be at Magsaysay Park, on August 10, 2018 at 5pm. Hiyas ng Kadayawan will be held on August 11, 2018. Kadayawan events include Indak Indak sa Kadalanan (Street Dancing Competiton), Pamulak Float Parade, Hiyas ng Kadayawan, Habi Kadayawan Fashion Accessories Design Competition, Sayaw Kadayawan, Tunog Kadayawan Song writing Competition, Kadayawan Dragon Boat Festival, Kadayawan Village Walking Tour and Kadayawan Ball (Tribal-Inspired Outfit Gown and Men’s Outfit Fashion Competition), KOSPLAY (Cosplay Costume Competition using Philippine Eagle as inspiration), Kadayawan Farmer’s Market among others.
Indak-Indak sa Kadayawan winning delegation will receive an additional P500, 000 on top of the cash prizes of P500, 000 if they generate a score of 95%. Last year’s winner only got 87%, so this should be a very good incentive as organizers are giving more focus on choreography rather than props. The winning team will take home a Kadayawan Trophy for the school and every member of the winning team will also be given a Kadayawan medal.
This year’s celebrations mark the biggest as organizers add more spectacle to the celebration, add on attractions include, Kadayawan SMDC, Smart, and San Miguel Nights. Kadayawan 2018 will allow tourists and locals to “See”, “Hear”, “Eat”, “Create”, “Learn”, “Dance”, “Party” and most of all experience the Biggest Festival like no other.
