Max’s Chicken Introduces Crispy Pata & Kare-Kare Rice Bowls

Aiming to promote the heritage and local food of the Filipinos. Max’s Chicken rolled out two new dishes, the Crispy Pata & Kare-Kare Rice Bowls.

For only P199 pesos, the rice bowls which also comes with Ice-Cold Pepsi is available for dine-in, takeout and delivery transactions.

According to Multi-Unit Manager, Arnie Demerin, the introduction of rice bowls is to address the Millenials, those who prefer portable, fresh and fast.

I love Kare-Kare, the Max’s Rice Bowls particularly the Kare Kare is truly a must-try. Loaded with tripe, tenderized, chewy and soft meat and complimented with thick savory sauce. The Crispy Pata is another decent option for those who prefer something crunchy, crackling and boneless dish decked with fried banana slices, garlic bits and spring onions best paired with soy-vinegar dipping sauce. I would have to say if the two combined I will end up eating Tasty Crispy Pata in Kare –Kare.

In short, rice bowls make a quick and easy dinner or lunch perhaps, for people on the go, such a perfect answer to what’s for dinner or lunch today, especially if you don’t have any idea what to make or don’t have a lot of time. It is a great Combo! A Filipino comfort food in a casual dining.

Oh I almost forgot, the Max Chewy Caramel Bar piled high with Vanilla Ice Cream and caramel sauce…nuff said

Max also introduces the Chicken All You Want for P249 every Friday’s of the week. Unlimited quarter size chicken with rice option from 2 pm to SAWA! Oh, my! So chicken lovers…ATTACK!

Also present during the Press Launch is Ms. Arianne Pombo (Trade Marketing Manager VisMin), Mr. Arnie Demerin (Multi-Unit Manager) and Franchise Owner Mr. Raymond Lumanlan and the cute Chicken Boy.

Davao On A Plate …Fresh Taste

It was a festive milestone in our city with the celebration of Davao on A Plate: Fresh Taste. The event highlighted the increasing determination to support local produce and exhibit impeccable talents and skills towards creating an exemplary culinary experience.

Present during the event are foodies, chefs, restaurateurs, bloggers and media personalities, and DOT Regional Director  Roberto Alabado Jr..Davao on a Plate: Fresh Taste was held at the Atrium of SM Lanang Premier last April 1, 2017. The event design was styled by Dava’s premier Coordinator Ms. Annie Paz Lim and the woman who is a staunch crusader to promote Davao cuisine known as The Crazy Cook, Ms. Carmina del Rosario.

As part of the flavors of the Philippines campaign under Madrid Fusion Manila, Davao on A Plate: Fresh Taste is a gathering of finest Chefs and purveyors from Marco Polo, Vikings, Boiling Crabs and Shrimps, Yellow Fin, I Chef, Malagos Cheese, Bondi, and Bourke. Through this culinary affair, SM promotes Davao tourism as well.

The featured dishes were, cheeses, crocodile kebab, Roasted Angus Beef in Kare Kare Sauce, Backyard Farm Rolls, Kinilaw of Sarangani Bay Seabass, Pianggang, Grilled Ubol -Ubol, Crabs served with Sambal Sauce, Cacao Nib Meringue, Durian Crepe Maki, Lemon Chocolate Donut and Cua Pao with Spicy Coconut Bangus Belly and Bangus Powder, among others.

My favorites were the freshly rolled Backyard Farms Rolls,  Bangus Mac and Cheese, Durian Maki, and Cua Pao. There were a lot to take in for the night, besides I was the host, so it is unattractive to get my hands dip into these dishes and eat them all like as if no one’s watching me.
