The Kadayawan week opens with a bang, as the city launched simultaneous activities at parks and malls, including the Kadayawan Mural Painting Challenge held at SM City Davao at Ecoland.
The show started at 1 pm and ended at 7 pm, 10 groups of a budding artist, composed of three and five members showed their colorful artwork in a grilling six-hour challenge. The winner will take home ten thousand pesos tax-free and artworks will be displayed at Open Parking C for the whole Kadayawan week.
Results will be announced on August 16, in time for the Grand opening of “South by Mouth”, a food and music festival.
